Unproven Ancestry

Ms. Sumner[2] appears to be the only authority to assert that the wife of Nicholas Munger and then Dennis Crampton was Sarah, Daughter of Andrew Hull of New Haven. Neither Jacobus, in Families of Ancient New Haven, 4:872 or Anderson, in The Great Migration, 3:451-52 provides any record for either Sarah or her sister Hannah subsequent to their 1640 baptism (Jacobus), or records pertaining to the payment of their father's legacies by their stepfather, Richard Beach (Anderson).

"Sarah2 Hull was born in New Haven, Conn., and baptized with her older sister Hannah by Rev. John Davenport, in the First Church on Oct. 4, 1640. She was not of age in 1654, and probably not in 1657, when Hannah received the remainder of her portion from the estate of their father, Andrew Hull. Sarah married in Guilford, Conn., on June 2, 1659, Nicholas Munger, who was born in England about 1630. He died on Oct. 17, 1668 in Guilford, where Sarah married second, in 1669, Dennis Crampton. She died in 1699.
