    3 Dec 1925.

Mrs. Amos Tupper, one of the earliest residents of the Kittitas Valley, died yesterday of heart disease at her home in Wenatchee. Mrs. Tupper was the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Tillman Houser, who came here among the first white settlers. Another daughter is said by some authorities to have been the first white child born in the valley.

During her girlhood, Mrs. Tupper's home was in Ellensburg. She was married to Elias Messerly and two children born to them survive their mother. They are Mrs. George Latel [should be Lail], whose home is in the East and Alpheus Messerly of the Big Bend country. Several brothers are living the valley and she has a sister, Mrs. C. C. Churchill of Ellensburg.
