On 1 April 1761, Sarah Grimes (spinster) appeared in court for bearing an illegitimate child, born the previous November (i.e., Nov 1760). She named Job Lurvey, Jr. as the father. On 23 November 1766, after her marriage to Mathew Joseph, two of her daughters, Abigail and Sarah (both illegitimate), were baptized. Neither their father(s) nor their dates of birth are clearly known.
