DAVIS, Sarah, d. of Oliver and Lydia, [born] Mar. 8, 1765.

  2. The Harvard VRs show a baptism of a son Oliver on 21 Apr 1765. There is no indication of twins, and unless pregnant when they married, not enough time to have an earlier child. It is presumed that the baptism is actually for Sarah. Church records p. 68 (viewable at Family History Centers) do say Oliver as the name of the child.
  3. Source:Wood, William Smith. Descendants of the Brothers Jeremiah and John Wood, p. 58, suggests this might be Sarah Gary, the person who along with "the six brothers of Sarah Gary" received shares of her grandmother, Lydia (Davis) (Wood) Goodridge. The distribution document has not been located, and while it makes sense to the degree that the daughter Lydia (Wood) Davis had died and the distribution would be expected to go to her children, it doesn't match well because Sarah only had three full brothers (i.e., by the same mother), and even if you include the half-brothers (not typical since they would not be heirs of the deceased mother) that would be seven, not six.
