↑ 2.02.1 The death date seen here of Jan 1718 would appear to imply that Sarah Daniels of Medfield is the one who married Hampton 26 Mar 1675 James Johnson. There is a death record for 3 Jan 1717/18 is for "Widdo" Sarah Johnson. [Note: both records may also be found in Hampton Vital Records, p. 77 and 124, respectively.] None of the sources covering James Johnson seem to identify his wife Sarah Daniels. By his wife Sarah Daniels, James Johnson had 9 children, the last born in 1694 (see Source:Dow, Joseph. History of the Town of Hampton, New Hampshire, which suggests 1640 is not the correct birthdate for the woman who died 1718/18. Evidence of her parentage is also lacking.
