the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, October 12, 1922.
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Cameron, who had been in ill health for some time, died early Friday morning, October 6, from paralysis. Funeral service was conducted Sunday afternoon from the family home by Rev. J. H. Hawk, lifelong friend of the family. Interment was made in Grandview Cemetery. Mrs. Cameron was born April 30, 1852, at Carrollton, a daughter of Isaac and Susannah (Aller) Crumrine, and all her life was passed here. She was married January 21, 1873, to Samuel J. Cameron, long a factor in the Republican politics of the county and at his death in 1894 the owner of the Carroll Republican. Mrs. Cameron was identified with the Presbyterian church and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, being active in the work of each as long as health permitted. She ever filled her place and mission in life, faithfully and well, and in her passing the publisher of The Free Press-Standard loses a warm friend and suffers a personal grief. Surviving are these children: Mrs. Grace C. Oglevee and Charles C. Cameron of Carrollton, and Isaac T. Cameron of Kansas City. A grandchild, Mrs. Dorothy Ebersole Myers, lives at Hopewell, Virginia.
