    There were only two Burt families in MA at this time;and presumably, tho
    not necessarily, she came from one of them. The first was the Richard
    Burt familyoriginating in Tauton, MA and spreading west in MA through
    three generations. The second were the descendants of Henry Burt who was
    granted land in western frontier MA near where John and Joseph Cook would
    migrateafter the French and Indian War.
    "New England Marriages Prior to 1700" lists 31 different Burt marriages,
    all descended from either Richard or Henry. There seems to be no record
    of her death in either Hopkinton orDouglas
