POWER, Sarah Theo - 20 February 1859, 8 March 1948; 2nd wife of Ed H. Power.
She was named after her maternal aunt, who died young, Sarah Theodosia Risinger. Her father mentioned her in his last letter to her mother, written just a week and a half before he was captured at Arkansas Post during the civil war, and in which he did not return. The letter is warm and heart-felt, and you simply fall for his little girl as he asks his wife how she's doing, having heard from his mother (Theo's grandmother, Sarah Psalms (McSpadden) Buckner), that his little one has the "chills".
