According to Grandma, Sarah's parents, Hazzard and Francina Bragg, lived at Thayer below the Garden Ground area. Grandma said that the Braggs built the house that Sarah and John James Preston Wright lived in there. She said that the mountain behind this Bragg house had at least one terrace or "bench" upon which was a cemetery.

I've seen her name written with a C and a K.

Her birth date source is that of the sheet from the family bible upon which is also her marriage certificate. However, the record of her marriage that I found in the Fayette Courthouse says she is 24 years old upon marriage. Either the clerk of the court made an error, or Sarah Bragg told everyone she was two years younger than she really was.
