Children of Oliver Appleton and Sarah Perkins: Sarah, b. 1709, m. (1) 7 Dec 1727 Benjamin Swain of Reading, m. (2) 16 Nov 1752 Benjamin Wyman.

  2. Based on a marriage in 1727 a birth in 1709 fits in a gap between other siblings and makes Sarah an appropriate age to marry in 1727. This appears to be the justification used in the cited article for giving her birth in 1709. Additionally, a widow Sarah Wyman died in Woburn 14 Apr 1798, a. 89 y. (Vol. 2, p. 216) which may well be this Sarah, since it also works out to a birth about 1709. But the record does not have enough detail to be sure.
