1922 Malone NY - Malone Farmer Wed. January 11, 1922, Vol 42, #6: Mrs. Harry Dudey of Glens Falls who has been a patient at the Utica State Hospital [insane asylum] for nearly three years, was operated on Saturday at the urgent insistence of Mr.Dudey in the hope that she might be restored to her normal mind. After much delay Mr. Dudey finally interested the state lunacy authorities in the matter. X-ray pictures of Mrs. Dudey's head were taken and the operation on her head was finally decided upon. It was where there was a depression of the skull believed to have been pressing on the brain. The operation was successfully performed but its affects are not yet known. Mr. Dudey is the son of S.C. Dudey of Malone and in the employ of the Glens Falls Fire Insurance Co. Mrs. Dudey was kicked by a horse when young this is supposed to have caused the depression.
