[edit] Advisory on Samuel WilsonCaution: some sources claim that this Samuel Wilson died in the Battle of Point Pleasant in 1774, but as the approx. 1803 deposition shown below in Augusta County, this Samuel Wilson died after 1800, most likely in 1810 according to other sources. The Samuel Wilson that died at Point Pleasant was the son of John Wilson and Mary Marcus. [edit] Possible Sibling of Samuel WilsonIt is suspected that James Wilson may be related (possible sibling?) to Samuel Wilson. More research necessary. [edit] Information on Samuel WilsonFrom Ancestry.com post: In his book, Virginia Frontier, F. B. Kegley states that James Burke's daughter, Rebecca married Samuel Wilson of South Fork. This apparently is a mistake as James Burke in his will names his daughter Sarah Wilson. Sarah and Samuel Wilson lived in Bedford County. They had two (known) children: Mary (Polly) Wilson who married Capt. John Lucas; and Theodocia Wilson who married Captain Benjamin Johnston.
