[edit] ==========MARRIAGE RECORD [edit] ==========No marriage bond, church record or family bible records the event; however, sources that preserve the fact of Samuel Wilson's marriage to Hannah Knox, daughter of Capt. Patrick Knox, include:

L. Hunter; first published 1877; digital document source: Genealogy.com; Family Archive CD 524; page 146
[2] " Hannah Knox, the wife of Samuel Wilson, Jr., was a daughter of Capt. Patrick Knox, who was killed at Ramseur's Mill, in Lincoln Co, during the Revolution. Samuel WIlson Jr, and his wife Hannah raised a large family, among whom was Polly Wilson, who married her cousin, Benjamin Wilson, a son of Maj. David Wilson. Jeff Wilson, the only son, left no issue, and the daughter Patsy Wilson became the wife of Hugh McKnight, according to the Sommerville account*." *Note: Sommerville's History of Hopewell, pp 195-199 outlines the family, but apparently gives no dates.
