↑ No such death date turns up in a search of americanancestors.org's database. According to Source:Wheeler, Albert Gallatin. Genealogical and Encyclopedic History of the Wheeler Family in America, he is "in all probability" the Samuel Wheeler who married Hephzibah --- [Owen, per NEHGR, p. 161:273] and had several children born in Warren [sic, recorded in Brookfield, in 1744 "of Western, in 1762, while "of Western", bought land in New Salem]. In other words, no sign that he moved to Connecticut, and far more likely that he was in Greenwich, Mass., than Greenwich, Conn.
