Farmer of 454 acres, employing 11 men, 3 boys and 2 women. 1891 - Living in Newton Road, Great Dunham with wife and two servants (dairy maid and house maid). Farmer employing others. Aged 70, born at North Lopham. 1895 - Samuel Porter WHARTON of Shipdham Norfolk retired farmer died 20-10-1895.
