WELLER DIES AT AGE OF 83 Samuel P. Weller, 83, founder of the Weller Auto Parts company on South Third street, died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday in the family home, 1119 Abbey Place, following a four-year illness. He was a native of Crooksville, born Sept. 22, 1878, a son of Albert and Mary Axline Weller. He founded the Weller Battery company in 1920, and the name has since been changed to the Weller Auto Parts firm. Mr. Weller was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, was past president of Central Presbyterian Brotherhood, past president of the Downtown Kiwanis Club, a member of Lodge of Amity No. 5, F&AM and Amrou Grotto. Surviving are his widow, the former Nora I. Dearinger of the home; a son, Robert P. of 712 Eppley avenue; two brothers, William and Roy, both of Crooksville; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Smith of Frankfort, O., and Mrs. Mabel Mauller of Saltillo. A son, Emerson Lee, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. The body was removed to the DeLong and Baker Funeral Home where arrangements are incomplete.
