A member of the expedition from Somers to Havana 20 March - 01 December 1762. -Somers VR Samuel served in the Revolutionary War under Colonel Roger Enas, Militia on the Hudson. Arrived in camp 03 July 1778. He enlisted 01 July 1780 in short term levies for the 5th Continental Line under Col. Bradley Regiment and Captain Prior. Source: Continental Archives, Rev. War Vol. 20, Pg. 671 History of Ancient Windsor, CT. Living with his brother David in Somers at 1800 census. A Samuel Wardwell, over age 45, is found in Somers in the 1820 census.
