Vol. 3, p. 116 "7th of the 11th mo 1666" [7 Jan 1666/67]: "Inventory of the goods of Samuel Tingley, who died the 28th of the 10th m'o 1666": £034-14-00, by John Upham, Will'm Brackenbury. Attested to by Elizabeth Tingley the relict widow of Samuel Tingley 2 Apr 1667.
↑ The estimated but unsourced death date here is presumably based on the death of Palmer Tingley, though of claims that he is the husband of Hannah (Fosdick)(Tingle) Barrett, Samuel's mother, Robert Charles Anderson writes, "While there is no evidence to disprove this statement, neither is there sufficient evidence to accept it, especially given the propensity of this author [Raymon Meyers Tingley] for inventing genealogical connections." The marriage in 1663 requires a birth by 1642 to be of legal age.
