    pp 19-20: Will of Samuel Sturgeon of Paxtang Township, Lancaster, dated 2 Dec 1749 and proved April 2, 1750 in Lancaster County

    p. 31: "Dr. Egles says that he died in March, 1750, which is quite likely correct." McCoy estimates Samuel to have been born about 1706 based on the approx. birth years of his children. (Note that the birth date given here for his son Thomas is based on his age at death; McCoy later gives a different birth date, commenting that his age at death was incorrectly calculated.)
