"Samuel Phipps, Esq., of Hampden, died yesterday at the advanced age of 89 years, 3 months and 17 days. The deceased was well known in the vicinity. He had carried on a hotel and general store at Hampden for some years and had also been postmaster. Among his children are Miss Eliza Phipps and Mrs. Fred G.
