He is on the 1880 census, age 7, with parents, Healdsburg, Mendocino Twp., Sonoma Co., Calif. [ED128, p 14, fam #169/169 ] He married Lula M. MOULTON about 1896 in Coquille, Coos, Ore. She was born Apr 1876 in Ore. On the 1900 census, Coquille, Coos Co., Ore., age 27, farmer. Wife Lula, b. Apr 1876, age 24, declares they have been married 3 years and she has born no children. [ED 12, p 1, fam #4/4] In 1910, Coquille, Coos Co., Ore., Samuel is now 38, and proprietor of a laundry and ice co. Lulu M., is 34, and declares they have been married 14 years with no children. In the home is her brother, George T. Moulton, age 44, with no occupation listed.[ED 55 , p 4B, fam #148/152] In his father's obituary, 1914, it reports that William Nosler "built the first six frame structures in this city. The first was a store building for Mr. Moulton, back of where the Lorenz store now stands." In 1920, continuing in Coquille, Samuel is 47, merchant-groceries. Lulu is 43 and has still not born any children. Continuing in home is George Moulton, 53, merchant,commission". [ED 126, p 13, fam #264/288]
