He is seen on the 1870 census, age 2, with parents, Perry, Dallas Twp., Dallas Co., Ia.(p 549, fam #31/31) and on the 1880 census, Healdsburg , Mendocino Twp., Sonoma Co. Calif., age 12, with parents. [ED128, p 190C, fam #169/169] He married Birdie _____ about 1895 in Coquille, Coos, Ore. She was born Oct 1875 in Ks. On the 1900 census, Coquille, Coos Co., Ore., age 31, (states b. Ill.) day laborer. With him is wife Birdie, age 24. She declares they have been married 5 years and she has born no children. They are next door to his father, William.[ED 12, p 38, fam #147/148] Here she declares her parents both b. in Ill., but on the next census it gives Iowa as their birth place. On the 1910 census, Coquille, Coos Co., Ore, gives Oscar, age 43, b. Ia., laborer in a steam laundry. (His brother Samuel owns a "laundry and ice co.") Birdie, 34, declares they have been married 15 years and she has born no children.[Ed 55, p.48A, fam #201/205] His is listed in his father's obituary, 1914, as being of Coquille.
