Will Abstract

Will of Samuel McKemy of the County of Greene & State of Tennessee, dated 6 April 1835, proven 2 September 1839
First, I Will and bequeath unto my wife Polly one third part of a tract of land willed to me by my father, lying in the County of Green & State of Tennessee on the waters of Caney Branch to have during lifetime the ballance of the land to be divided eaqually between my six children: Susan Jane, Alexander, Nancy, Anna, Elizabeth, & Barnabas.
I will & bequeath unto my wife Polly one half of my horses, cattles, hogs and one half of all my household & kitchen furniture, my waggon and all my farming tools & the ballance of my horses, cattle, hogs & household furniture after my wife gets her divide I wish immediately after, my death sold on a credit, of twelve month, I wish all my just debts collected and my just debts againt me paid the ballance of the money equally divid[ed] between my wife Polly and my six children and I do hereby appoint Alexander McKemy & Jas. Woods my Executors of this my last will and Testament and hereby make all former wills by me made.
