Do you know when Hugh McCrary first settled in North Carolina? Did he move there with other family members - especially brothers?

Specifically I am interested in Samuel Mcrearey (McCreary/McCrary) who was most likely born 1750ish. He m. Elizabeth Rankin and had at least one son named David Mcrearey who was mentioned in his maternal grandfather's will. The will was written in 1781 in Rowan County, North Carolina.
