Obituary on Samuel Barfield Luckey as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 8 Nov 1912. Camilla, Georgia. Mr. S.B. Luckey, a well known and respected citizen of this county, who lived about ten miles east of Camilla, died yesterday afternoon at three o'clock. He had a been a sufferer from a serious stomach affection for a long time and this disease was the cause of his death. For many years, Mr. Luckey served as County Surveyor of Mitchell county and in that capacity became generally known. He was regarded as a man of high character and was just and liberal with all whom he dealt. He leaves a family and several brothers and sisters to mourn his loss. The funeral took place at Mt. Zion Cemetery this afternoon.
