DEATH OF SAMUEL LASER

  After an illness of only a week Samuel Laser died of lung fever Tuesday night at the family home in the south part of town.  He was fifty-eight years of age and an old resident.  He was a familiar figure on the street, having long driven what is known as the "smoke wagon" at the radiator works.  The funeral will be held Saturday, leaving the residence at 1:30 p.m. for Immanuel's church.

SAMUEL LASER FUNERAL

  The funeral of Samuel Laser, whose death from pneumonia was noted in these columns last week, was held Saturday afternoon in Immanuel's church on South Center street, Rev. Webbink officiating.  Interment was in Bremen cemetery.  Friends present from out of town included:   Mr. and Mrs. John Cline,  Mr. and Mrs. Wilsie Hushower and Irvin Hushower, South Bend;  William Snyder, Culver;  Mrs. Julia Sternberg, Goshen;  Mr. and Mrs. George Nozier, Nappanee.
  Samuel Laser was born in Ohio Dec. 2, 1852, being aged 58 years and 11 days.  April 18, 1881, he was married to Sarah Snyder.  Four children were born to them, three of whom with their mother survive - Harriet Laser, Mrs. Norman Collier and Laura Laser.  One brother, Daniel Laser and one sister, Mrs. Catherine Hushower, are also residents of Bremen.
