COUCH TO WORTHINGTON.
Chillicothe June the 16th 1813.
Honorable Sir..
The Express mail arrived from the Rapids last night, but brings nothing new or important; I saw one letter which states that Proctor has withdrawn his principal forces from Malden to reinforce Gen Prevost, this however may be idle rumor at all events Harrison's force will be sufficient to accomplish the object intended and in all human probability the N.W. Army will now be triumph- ant -- The sick and wounded are fast recovering at Fort Meigs but I regret to inform you, that Lieut. Kircheval has died on his way to Chillicothe..
I am Sir, Very Respectfully your Obedt & Humble Servt.
Jesup N. Couch.
Honorable Thomas Worthington..
