[Board.FBC.FBK.FTW] Jameson, Samuel was born in 1789 in New York State. He came to Jo Daviess County in the early 1830's and served in the Black Hawk War as a First Lieutenant with Captain Clark Stone's Company of the Twenty-seventh Illinois Militia. Samuel was married three times; first wife is unknow, his second was Almira, and his third was Matilda Craig. He had seven children: John, Ann Dunn, Jennie, Samuel, Mary Hammond, and one other. Samuel farmed in Hanover township for a number of years. He died May 22, 1868 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery. |
