Samuel's burial place was found in a private cemetery 'east of the park' at Hempstead, Long Island per Josephine C. Frost. The transcriptions says "Samuel, son of David D. and Kasiah Jackson died Sep. 18, 1865; age 25 years, 8 mo". Apparently this cemetery has been known by various names. In the reference made in the NYGBS 'The Record' it is referred to as Hempstead's Old Town Burying Ground, Rushmore Addition, Queens, NY.
