[edit] BiographySamuel was born about 1723. Samuel married Millian Webb. Samuel and Millian had the following children:
In 1777, Samuel Hall and Merry Webb were among the signers in Henry County, Virginia, renouncing allegiance to Great Britain and swearing allegiance to the Commonwealth of Virginia. Samuel Hall and his family moved from Henry County, Virginia, to Wilkes County, North Carolina, some time shortly after the Revolutionary War began. Samuel was granted 100 acres on Elk Creek in Wilkes County, North Carolina, as recorded in Deed Book A, 1778 - 1783, pages 4,61 and 4,62. Samuel's son, John Hall, Jr., was charged April 29, 1783 for begetting a bastard child on Sarah Adams. (Wilkes Co., NC) Samuel's son, David, served six months in the militia under Captain Thomas Witherspoon, John Cleveland, Absalom Cleveland, and Eilbern. He also served two years as an Indian Spy under Captain Edmund Sale and was in the expedition against the Cherokee Indians under Colonel John Sevier [edit] Sources
