  3. A website that appears to be fairly well-researched here says Samuel of Winchester is "probably" the son of Benjamin of Pomfret. It cites many additional sources of information, of which only a few have been checked. One of the most convincing items is that daughter Esther born in Pomfret apparently married in Richmond, NH. A query found in Source:Seattle Genealogical Society. Bulletin of the Seattle Genealogical Society suggests Samuel of Winchester was the son of Samuel of Westford, but the father's will does not mention a son Samuel, suggesting the son died young.
