COPELAND Lydia, m. Ben[ami]n Jopet, Jr., Oct. 29, 1740 [1:3] [Note: the online record appears to be a copy, but also appears to be the source of Barbour's transcription. While a person without context could read this as Japet (not so much Jopet), knowing by other sources who it is, it is clear it is "fasset".]
Benj'n Fasset married Oct. 29, 1741 [sic] Lydia Copeland. [Note: the birth of a son in Nov 1741, suggests this is a mistranscription of the record, and the order of records, and abbreviation of Benjamin's name, suggests it was based on the above mentioned copy, where the 1740 date was surrounded by 1741 dates, suggesting why this error might have been made.]
