    Obituary - Samuel Preston Davidson

    Abstract:
    States he died "at his home in London, O., a few days ago. He was a native of Rockbridge County, having been born near the junction of the North and James River on December 15, 1812. His will leaves $60,000 (his estate) to the Presbyterian Church at the death of his wife. He was a son of John Davidson who moved from the county in 1817 to Madison County, O., and took with him his wife and seven children to Madison County, O. The forefather, William Davidson, came from Cumberland County, Pa., in 1773, and settled at the above place, and his parents came from the North of Scotland..."The article continues and speaks of a diary kept by Samuel.
