Samuel Cooper died about 1720 in York Hampton, York Co. VA. His will ison file in the VA Archives. The will states he gave his son, Isles Cooper, one shilling, his daughter Sarah Bellomey one shilling, all therest of his estate to his wife Ann (Elizabeth?) Cooper for her use and in case of a child born to her of his, the house and lot in York would go to that child after Ann's decease. If she should die with disposing of the house and lot by Will, then they would go to benefit of John Nattoche and his heirs and no other part of the estate shall be given or sold to son Isles Cooper or any of his heirs. Wife to be executor. Dated Oct 8, 1719, Wit: Joh Cooke, Mary Cooke, Josias Cooke - proven 16 May 1720. Samuel's wife was Elizabeth Isles born about 1669 daughter of Thomas Isles and Elizabeth Wardley. |
