In October, 1780 he enlisted for military service in Luodoun Co.,Virginia and served as a lieutenant inder commission from the Governor of Virginia. Note: After his Revolutionary War service, he settled in Randolph County,(West) Virginia, where he resided until 1800, when he removed to Wood Co., (West) Virginia,where he died 5/2/1847 at the age of 97.
