Samuel's brother Thomas is not mentioned as one of the four sons in John's will, but Samuel is. The vital records show no death for Thomas but do show a 1674 deathfor Samuel, but also, apparently, a 1713 death, a. 39 (i.e., born 1674 as his birth record states). So the 1674 death is assumed to belong to Thomas, and the name was probably misrecorded due to being only a week after Samuel's birth.]
