Bucknam, Buckman [County Court Returns] Samuel, s of William, 13 (7), 1658. [Note: In old-styles dates, the seventh month is September. More info may be found here.]
↑ There is no birth record for this Samuel. Savage suggests Samuel d. "prob. a few hours old". This is possible, but the timing seems a little unusual. The father's will mentions sons Edward and Samuel, and given that Edward survived, to have another child a year later, as required by Savage's speculation, is somewhat quick. It seems like it might be also be possible that the Samuel that died in 1658 was born earlier in the marriage, though exactly where is not apparent. The birth of neither Joses or Elizabeth is recorded, so there is some impreciseness in their birth dates. And although Joses is labeled Sarah's eldest son in William's will, the will was written after the death of Samuel in 1658, so we can't really rule out the possibility that Samuel was born before Joses.
