Samuel Brolliar was born in Bedford Co., Penn., in 1802; came to Iowa in 1856, and settled on his present farm. Married Sophia Spitle in 1858; she was born in Bedford Co., Penn., in 1812; have two children-Barbara A. and Christian. Christian was born in Ashland Co., Ohio, in 1854; came to Iowa with his parents. Mr. Brolliar, Sr., is a member of the German Baptist Church.
