Public Service
"Samuel Boreman … was much employed in public service. He was chosen townsman of Wethersfield for eight years, lister for two years, rate maker, surveyor of highways, and Constable. He was a juror fifteen times between 1646 and 1662, and Grand Juror in 1660 and 1662.
He served as Deputy for Wethersfield to the Connecticut General Assembly, Oct. 1657, May and Oct. 1658, May and Oct. 1659, May and Oct. 1660, May and Oct. 1661, May and Oct. 1662, May and Oct. 1663, May and Oct. 1664, May 1665, May 1667, and Oct. 1671. The General Assembly appointed him town sealer of measures and weights in Wethersfield, February 1649/50, and customs master for Wethersfield, March 1658/9."[5]

Page 135—25 November, 1673: An Inventory of the Estate of Mr. Samuel Boreman was exhibited in Court, which was accepted and ordered to be recorded, & Mrs. Mary Boreman is granted Adms. upon the Estate, which by the Court was thus Distributed: To the Relict, £66 of Personal Estate forever, & the Thirds of the profits of the Land during her natural life. To Isaack, besides what he hath received, £38. To Mary, besides some Cattell she claymes, £60. To Samuel, besides some Cattell he claymes, £72. To Joseph, £68. To John, besides a mare, £64.
