Boyd Crumrine of Wallingford Dies; Heart Fails
Boyd Crumrine of Wallingford, brother-in-law of Robt. Penn of this city, died Monday night of heart failure. He had had one attack previous to this. Mr. Crumrine was 42 years old and was prominent in his home community. The body was brought to Estherville and funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist church.

Mr. Crumrine leaves a wife and adopted daughter. There is also a brother living at Woodlawn, Penn., and a sister at Branden, Iowa. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, October 21, 1925)

[1st line too dark to read] He soon moved with his parents to Fayette County, Iowa, where they remained for a few years. When he was seven years old his parents came to Emmet county and he has lived here ever since. On March 6, 1910, he was united with Miss Margaret Penn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Penn, of Graettinger. They have made their home on a farm between Wallingford and Graettinger ever since. One daughter, Marjory, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Crumrine. In February of this years Mr. Crumrine held a farm sale, disposing of his goods and moving to Wallingford to reside. He had purchased a farm near Dunnell and intended moving there in March, 1926. He died very suddenly at his home in Wallingford Monday night, October 25 [19], 1925, at half past twelve. His death was due to heart failure. Funeral service were held at the Methodist church in this city Thursday, October 22nd at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. R. T. Chipperfield in charge, assisted by Rev. Neppelson, of Graettinger. Besides his wife and daughter, one brother, R. G. Crumrine, of Pennsylvania, and one sister, Mrs. Tracy of Brandon, Iowa, survive him. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. The large attendance at the funeral and the beautiful floral offerings bespoke the high esteem and regard that Mr. Crumrine was held by his friends in Emmet and Palo Alto counties.
