OBITUARY

Mrs. G. D. Denison, depared this life April 24, 1891, at her home near Waterloo, Ind., aged 71 years, 9 months and 11 days.

April 28, 1890, Mr. and Mrs. Denison celebrated the 50th anniversary of their marriage, which was a grand reunion of all their children living, one daughter having died four years previous. At her death, she leaves a husband, seven children, twenty-nine grandchildren and six great grand children.

Biography of Mrs. G. D. Denison as written by herself one year previous to her death: "My maiden name was Soloma E. Fenner; I was born in Bucks County, Penn., July 13, 1819; I moved with my parents to Tompkins County, N. Y. In 1833, we emigrated near Plymouth, Richland County, Ohio, April 28, 1840, I became the wife of G. D. Denison. This union was blessed with twelve children, two pairs of twins who died in their infancy, except one, little Clara, who lived until she was six months old; the rest all lived to be men and women -- four sons and four daughters, all married and have families. In 1852 we moved to Wood County, Ohio, and in 1868 we emigrated to DeKalb County, Ind., where we have remained until death. At the age of twenty I united or became a member of the Presbyterian church; was baptized in my infancy. After we were married both joined the Methodist church, and remained in same until we moved to DeKalb County. This is written in my 70th year."

The funeral was held in the M. E. Church, Sunday p.m., Rev. J. M. DeWeese preaching an earnest sermon, and a very large company of people followed the remains to their resting place in the Waterloo Cemetery.
