Children of Ephraim Wheeler and Maria Glazier: Ruth, b. about 1723, not living in 1770. Settlement of estate, dated 16 Jul 1770, one share going to "Ruth Wheeler, alias Ruth Wheeler's heirs".
↑ 3.03.1 The estimated birth about 1723 given by the TAG article is presumably based on the order listed in the baptism, though given her date of marriage, it seems possible that Glazier (m. 1746) was named first as the sole male, and then Ruth as the oldest daughter, meaning she might be the oldest child, b. about 1721. That Ruth had heirs indicates not only that she died, but that she had married, and to a man named Wheeler. As she is the only Ruth Wheeler apparent in Lancaster, as labeled in the marriage record, she thus appears to be the wife of Samuel Wheeler of Townsend. After the birth of son Samuel in Townsend, they moved to New Salem with others of Samuel's family.
