OBIT FOR RUTH (SEABA) KLETT, SEPTEMBER 23, 1988:

Ruth Klett, 92, of Sigourney died Friday, September 23 at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney.

She was born June 24, 1896 in Plank Township, Keokuk County, daughter of Edward and Bessie Tullis Seaba. She attended Garibaldi School. She was a seamstress and worked for Montgomery Wards and Corwin Cleaners in Des Moines for many years, retiring to Sigourney in 1977. She was a member of Cottage Grove Presbyterian Church, Des Moines and transferred her membership to the Presbyterian Church in Sigourney. She married Casper Klett on March 4, 1915 at the Bethel Church parsonage near Sigourney.

She is survived by three sisters, Vera Utterback of Ottumwa and Edith Smithart and Avis Seaba of Sigourney and one brother, Glen Seaba of Sigourney.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 25, at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery near Sigourney. A memorial has been established.
