    ST. MARYS - Ruth Arand, 83, St. Marys, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at a Topeka hospital. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, south of Belvue. Mrs. Arand will lie in state after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and sent in care of the funeral home.
