[Note: the stone is broken. What is visible:
    RUTH S.
    Wife of
    Fred...ley.
The memorial page indicates that her age was 23, but seems surprisingly unaware of her parents.]

Children of John Putnam and third wife Dorcas (Sibley) Collar: Ruth, b. 26 Mar 1820; Esther, b. 28 Oct 1822 m. Freeman F. Sibley.
[Note: no birth record for either of these two daughters are found. Dorcas' will in 1836 mentions daughter Ruth Putnam, has no mention of Esther, and Frederick F Sibly, "guardian of Ruth", petitions for the estate to be settled. There is a guardian file for daughter Ruth, none for daughter Ester. The marriage of Frederick and Ruth is found in Connecticut. So it appears Esther died before 1836 and the marriage was attributed to the wrong daughter.]
