SWISHER^S4 Ruth M. Patterson Ludvicek, 68, went home to be with the Lord in her sleep on Wednesday morning, Aug. 21, 1996, at the family home. Funeral services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Christian's Meeting Room, 1266 Wilson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Castek Cemetery, rural Swisher. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 11 a.m. Saturday at the meeting room. Officiating will be Samuel Ludvicek at the funeral service and Lyle Ludvicek at the gravesite.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Emil; five daughters: <names of living individuals have been removed;> four sons: <names of living individuals have been removed;> 17 grandchildren; a sister, <living> Patterson, and two brothers, Bruce and <living> Patterson, all of Saskatchewan, Canada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Willard; and a sister, Marion. Ruth was born Sept. 22, 1927, in Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Tom and Ethel Denzen Patterson. She married Emil L. Ludvicek there on May 10, 1952. She was employed at Amana Refrigeration for more than 19 years.

A memorial fund has been established.
