Ruth E Mitchell Sept. 29, 1905 -- March 8, 2004

Ruth E Mitchell, 98, formerly of Burgoon, died Monday morning at her ho me in Winnetka, Ill.

She was born in Burgoon where she resided until the age of 76 when she mov ed to IL to be close to her only child and grandchildren.

She was a member of Burgoon United Methodist Church where she was the pian ist and organist, as well as a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Ruth and her husband Ray Mitchell operated an appliance store in Burgoon u ntil his death in 1970.

During the 22 years in Winnetka, she made new friends through the Winnet ka Bible Church which she attended as she was able. Ruth always thoug ht of herself as an encourager and there are many who benefited from her e ncouragement.

She is survived by son Dan Mitchell and his wife Sally; grandchildren Sus an Kathleen Robins of Austin, Texas, and Jill Ruthanne Pratt of Baltimor e, Md.; and great-grandchildren Gwyneth and Mitchell Robins of Austin, Tex as.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Burgoon United Methodist Church with visi tation beginning at 10 until the time of the service. Pastor Martha Gro ss will officiate.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.

Arrangements: Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home.
