Ruth M. Barkasi, 50, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Jan. 5, 1964, in Greensburg, the daughter of Charles E. Koshinsky, of Greensburg, and the late Naomi (Loughner) Koshinsky. She had been employed as a patient accounts representative at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, and had attended LifeSpring Christian Church, Greensburg. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles E. Jr. and Glen A. Koshinsky. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, David J. Barkasi; a brother, John S. Koshinsky Sr. and his wife, Cindy, of Latrobe; and nieces and nephews, John Jr., Joshua, Sarah and Loren. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Roland D. Blake officiating.
