Ruth Ellen Wammes, 80, of Front St, died at home early Friday morning.

She was born in Toledo to Mattes and Jessie Kirsch and they are decease d. On June 22, 1940, she married Joseph S Wammes in Fremont and he preced ed her in death on April 14, 1998.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Surviving are children Richard J Wammes of Fremont and Judith A Hoffm an of Lebanon, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. S he was preceded in death by brother Mattes "Sonny" Kirsch.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m, Sunday at the Nopper-Karlovetz Mor tuary.

Services: 10:30 a.m, Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Burial: St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials: American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
