    Ruth Maurine Keener O'Bannion, 94, of Kirbyville, Texas, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

    Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 8, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville, with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

    A native of Temple, Texas, she had lived in Kirbyville since 1942.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey O'Bannion; daughters, Jo Ruth Smith and Betty O'Bannion Hawthorn; an infant son; and 8 brothers and sisters. She is survived by 2 sons, Edd Buddy O'Bannion and Kay of Jasper, and Mike O'Bannion and Brenda of Victoria, TX; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
